Pacquiao has only lost. Pacquiao vs Broner Best Prop Bet. All Pacquiao-Broner props for this fight. Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring on January 19 th to defend his WBA welterweight title against Adrien Broner, in a fight that could spell the end of his illustrious career if he fails to win. Broner, once regarded as one of the most talented fighters in the division, comes into the fight off the back of a loss to Mikey Garcia and a draw with Jessie Vargas with victory for the American.

This is a fight that piques the interest of boxing fans around the world, including this one.

Breaking his two-year hiatus from fighting in the United States, Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) returns to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, for his latest championship titlefight versus the brash-talking Adrien Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs).

There couldn’t be a matchup of two fighters with more opposite personalities.

Adrien Broner is a fast-talking, brash fighter who wants to be Floyd Mayweather but can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Adrien’s biggest obstacle has always been himself.

When focused on his fights, though, Broner has shown the defensive genius and accuracy that bring the comparisons to Floyd Mayweather.

Manny Pacquiao, on the other hand, is a man of focus, forgiveness, and faith – a far cry from the trash-talking Broner.

Besides the difference in personalities, the two fighters couldn’t be much more different in the ring. Manny is an aggressive fighter that is always looking to come forward, while Bronerspecializes in a defensive approach looking to counter-punch.

Both fighters have the idea that the winner of this fight will face Floyd Mayweather in their next fight. Before either man can try to make that happen, they first need to get by each other.

From the early press conferences, it seems Broner is sticking to his confident self, believing there is no way Manny can beat him.

Manny has come out and said that he is taking this fight very seriously and swears he is not looking ahead to a possible rematch versus Floyd Mayweather.

Now that the stage is set, let’s get into some of the keys for both fighters to have a shot at winning this fight, as well as getting into the odds and a prediction for who will come outvictorious on January 19th.

On Saturday, January 19th, legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, to take on Adrien Broner for the WBA welterweight championship live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Without a doubt, this is the biggest fight of Broner’s career.

For those of you looking to jump straight into the betting action, we recommend you check out these sites:

At 29 years old, the former 4-division champion is looking to notch a massive win and reignite his career. Broner made the following comments in the final presser:

“I just have to go out and win this fight, then everything is going to start going my way. Saturday night, I will be victorious. This is a defining moment in my career and it’s going to be one of the biggest nights of my life.”

For the 40-yeard old Pacquiao, Manny is looking to put on a strong showing and parlay that into a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the summertime. Despite his critics questioning fighting at this age, Pacquiao is very positive and ready to take on the challenge. In the final press conference, Manny made the following comments about his age:

“This is a challenge because it is my first fight as a 40-year-old. I have something to prove to everyone about what that means. Age is just a number. What matters is how you prepare and that you’re working hard.”

Even though he’s 11 years older, and has a lot more tread on the tires, Manny is a sizeable betting favorite with most boxing betting sites. We’ll take a look at these betting odds to see if they’re accurate.

In addition to evaluating the standard moneylines, we will also examine the Over/Under for this fight and some potentially profitable boxing prop bets.

Pacquiao vs Broner Betting Odds

Pacman Vs Broner Odds

The following boxing betting odds are courtesy of BetOnline:

  • Manny Pacquiao (-304)
  • Adrien Broner (+254)

Considering their level of boxing skills and career success, these betting odds appear to be pretty accurate. Manny is a legend in the ring and he’s still fighting at a high enough level to be the favorite in this match. Broner (33-3-1 1NC) has potential, but hasn’t fought anyone the caliber of Pacquiao (60-7-2). And, the betting odds reflect this.

For beginners looking to bet on this boxing fight, the moneylines represent which fighter you think will win the fight. So, if you think Pacquiao will win then you wager $304 dollars to win $100. If you think Broner will win then you wager $100 to win $254 dollars.

Pacquiao vs Broner Over/Under Bet

The Over/Under for this fight is set at 10.5 rounds with the following betting odds according to BetOnline:

  • Over 10.5 rounds (-268)
  • Under 10.5 rounds (+228)
Pacman

For the majority of his career, Broner had been winning his fights by KO/TKO. However, since 2013, Broner has racked up 9 decisions in his last 11 fights. Adrien fought in April of 2018, and that fight ended in a Majority Draw against Jessie Vargas.

Prior to that, Broner lost to Mikey Garcia in July 2017 by Unanimous Decision. In his career, Broner has gone the distance on 13 occasions with a record of 9-3-1. He’s also never been stopped in 38 professional fights.

Manny Pacquiao, who has fought 31 more times than Adrien, has gone the distance on 27 occasions. Of those fights, Pacquiao has posted a 21-4-2 record. In his last 14 bouts, Pacquiao has gone the distance in 12 of them.

When looking at the rest of his fights that didn’t go the distance, Manny went beyond the 10.5 round mark on three more occasions. In total, Manny has surpassed this fight’s O/U of 10.5 rounds in 30 of his fights.

Broner has become notorious for his methodical pace even if it gets him behind on the scorecards. Manny has become notorious for out-pointing his opponents with a high volume of punches. For this bet, I believe there’s a very good chance that we will hit the Over.

Pacquiao vs Broner Prop Bets

In addition to the standard moneyline and total round bets, we have some prop bets for this fight that may offer great betting value.

Will Pacquiao vs Broner Go the Distance?

The first prop bet from BetOnline is whether or not the fight will go the distance:

  • Yes (-180)
  • No (+150)

As mentioned above, I do believe that this fight will go beyond the 10.5 round O/U. With that said, this fight has a great chance at going the distance. So, for this bet, go with “Yes” at -180 odds.

If the Fight Goes the Full 12 Rounds, Who Wins?

Now, that I’ve established that this fight will most likely go the distance, we can turn to the prop bet on who will win the fight if it goes to the judges:

  • Broner wins via Decision (+440)
  • Pacquiao wins via Decision (-110)
  • The fight ends in a Draw (+2000)

Let’s eliminate the Draw betting option right off the bat. Broner just fought to a Draw against Vargas 9 months ago, so I don’t see it happening again. Furthermore, Pacquiao hasn’t fought to a Draw since 2004, which was the second of his career. His first Draw came in 2001. Although the +2000 betting odds is appealing, it’s not worth the risk.

Between Broner and Pacquiao, the odds on favorite to win via Decision is Manny. For Broner, only 27% of his wins have come via Decision. However, all three of his losses have come via Decision. For Manny, 30% of his wins have come via decision and 57% of his losses (4 of them) have come via Decision.

If this fight goes the distance then Manny should be up big on the scorecards as he will outwork Broner and never look back.

Boxing Prop Bet: Manny Pacquiao wins via Decision (-110)

To further hammer home this point, BetOnline also has an option of Manny Pacquiao winning on points at +100 and Broner winning on points at +400. Since the +100 line pays Even money, I would suggest taking that over the -110 line of Manny winning via Decision.

Round Group Prop Bet

One more prop bet to look at for this fight is Round Group Betting. This bet is picking when the fight will end and you get a range of three rounds for each betting option:

  • Rounds 1 to 3: Broner (+3300), Pacquiao (+2000)
  • Rounds 4 to 6: Broner (+2000), Pacquiao (+900)
  • Rounds 7 to 9: Broner (+1800), Pacquiao (+750)
  • Rounds 10 to 12: Broner (+2000), Pacquiao (+850)

I think it’s safe to say that neither fighter is going to win this fight in the first three rounds. Pacquiao hasn’t accomplished this feat in almost 10 years, while Broner hasn’t accomplished it in 7 ½ years. Neither fighter will take the risk of losing the fight early. So, avoid this betting option.

Broner’s last win in rounds 4 to 6 came nearly 6 years ago when he defeated Gavin Rees. Pacquiao hasn’t defeated anyone in these rounds since 2005 against Hector Velazquez. However, Manny did lose to Juan Manuel Marquez in the 6th round back in 2012. Manny still talks about that and swears he will never make that mistake again.

“I know he is going to counter me but we’re ready for that. What happened in the Juan Manuel Marquez fight will not happen again. It was a mistake and I learned that mistake. We’ve worked on that in this training camp. I am prepared for Broner’s style.”

I think it’s safe to say that Broner won’t be able to duplicate what JMM did to Pacquiao.

Broner’s last fight to end in rounds 7 to 9 was in 2016 when he defeated Ashley Theophane via TKO. Pacquiao KO’d Lucas Matthysse in the 7th round of their fight last July. This group of rounds does offer some betting potential.

More than likely, if this fight doesn’t go the distance then I see it being stopped somewhere in rounds 10 to 12. Pacquiao’s last fight to enter these rounds without going the distance was in 2009 when he finished off Miguel Cotto via TKO in the 12th for the WBO welterweight title.

In 2016, Broner defeated Khabib Allakhverdiev via TKO in the 12th to win the WBA super lightweight belt.

Pacman Vs Broner Odds Ufc

Because I think this fight will go beyond the 10.5 round Over/Under, the smart wager for this prop bet is on the group of rounds 10-12 for Pacquiao.

Boxing Bet: Pacquiao wins in rounds 10 to 12 (+850)

Who Wins the Fight: Pacquiao or Broner?

I think it’s clear by now that I believe Manny Pacquiao will win this fight, especially if Floyd Mayweather Jr. is in attendance. Even at the age of 40, Pacquiao is still a better fighter than Broner. All three of Adrien’s losses have come when he fought in the welterweight division, which is the weight class that this bout will be contested at.

Manny Pacquiao throws a lot of punches and from all angles. Additionally, he’s aggressive and will put the pressure on Broner all night long. In the final presser, Pacquiao alluded to this:

“I don’t need to dislike my opponent to want a knockout. I’m just doing my job in the ring. If the knockout comes, it comes. We’re hoping to have that opportunity Saturday. I have to pressure him to make him open up. Wherever he goes, I’ll be there.”

I don’t see Pacquiao getting the knockout because Broner has never been stopped in his career. And, his fighting style is one of a slower pace, which could keep the action to a minimum for long stretches at a time.

Despite going 3-2-1 in his last 6 overall fights, Broner doesn’t lack any confidence. He made that clear during their last press conference.

“I’m going to beat him up and have a drink with him afterward. I grew up in boxing and I know what’s going on. It’s a business, but don’t get it twisted, I’m going to dominate and win. This is going to be a hell of a fight. I’ve trained so hard and I want everyone to know that I play around a lot, but when that bell rings, I’m going to be ready. I didn’t come here to lose or lay down. I came here to get this victory. Real talk.”

Unfortunately for Broner and his fans, I don’t see this happening. Adrien doesn’t possess the skill set to knockout Manny like Juan Manuel Marquez, who is the perfect foe for Pacquiao. With that said, Broner won’t be able to outwork Pacquiao in this fight either.

Pacman Vs Broner Odds Predictions

So, when this fight gets into the latter rounds, Manny will be up big and can cruise to a victory. Or, Broner will make a mistake as he gets desperate trying to score the KO/TKO, which opens himself up for Manny’s counters and a potential stoppage.

Pacquiao Vs Broner Odds

I believe Manny Pacquiao wins this fight via decision, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a late round stoppage. Pacquiao is listed at +250 odds for winning via TKO/KO or DQ. This option does have some betting value considering Pacquiao will win the fight.

Pacquiao vs Broner Betting Recap

  • Manny Pacquiao wins (-304)
  • The Fight Will Go Over 10.5 rounds (-268)

  • Manny Pacquiao wins on points (+100)
  • Pacquiao wins in Rounds 10 to 12 (+850)
